Dr. Gary Scott, DDS was raised in Wyoming, Michigan and graduated from Calvin Christian High School. He received his first degree in 1992 from Calvin College, and then became a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Scott faithfully served in the US Army for three years: one year in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs in 1997, and two additional years in the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum in New York. Dr. Scott established Family Dentistry of Caledonia after purchasing an existing practice in 1999, and moved Family Dentistry of Caledonia into its current location in 2003.

Dr. Scott is an avid family man. He and his wife have been married since 1992 and have four children together. When he is not dedicating his time to serving his patients, Dr. Scott is spending quality time with his family, serving his church, participating in school activities, and following University of Michigan athletics.

Dr. Scott emphasizes a preventive approach to dental care and recommends making appointments for periodic checkups at least twice a year. By maintaining regular dental visits, Dr. Scott can detect any dental imperfections at their earliest stage, which is when they’re easiest to treat. For our pediatric patients, we also recommend enamel-strengthening fluoride treatments as well as shielding dental sealants for added protection.
